AIR Drying :
These are two basic modes of removal of moisture (drying of air) from compressed air:
Adsorption drying.
Refrigeration drying.
We offer a wide range of Refrigerant Dryer manufactured as per the international quality standards. These dyers are commonly used in various applications for the drying of plant air and other utility gases like seal gas, hydrogen gas generally used for cooling and nitrogen gas used for drying. This refrigerant functions in a dew point of +2 Deg. C. and at line pressure of -22 Deg. C. with a normal atmospheric pressure. The entire range is largely utilized in Fly ash conveying and seal gas drying. The hydrogen gas dryer finds application in generator cooling and pneumatic tools operation.
Refrigerated air dryer works on the principle of cooling down air to +2o C by a suitable refrigerant like freon, NH3 Etc. Refrigerated dryers are the best choice for instrument-air applications. HOW A REFRIGERANT AIR DRYER WORKS:
DUEX refrigerated air dryer circuit can be divided into two parts-
Air Circuits
Refrigerant Circuit
1. Air Circuit:
The hot moist air and oil vapor from an air compressor enters into pre-cooler, where it is pre-cooled by the outgoing cool air, Pre-cooling enhances maximum efficiency of the Refrigeration unit. This pre-cooled air then enters into an Evaporator and is cooled to +2oC. Moisture and oil vapor are condensed in this Evaporator. Cooled air is then passed through a moisture separator and Condensed liquids is drained out by manual / automatic drain. From the separator, the cold dry and pure air flow through the pre-cooler and is reheated by the incoming air. Re-heating increase the volume of air, prevents sweating and lowers the relative humidity of the air. This clean dry air is then available for use.
2. Refrigerant Circuit:
Cold liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from hot compressed air in the Evaporator. As a result, the refrigerant changes its phase from liquid to vapor. Vaporous refrigerant (cold) flow into the Refrigerant compressor. The compressor compresses cold, low pressure vapor to hot, high pressure vapor. It then flows through the Condenser and is cooled, forming a liquid of nearly ambient temperature. Liquid refrigerant is then collected in a receiver. From there the liquid refrigerant is then collected in a receiver. from there, the liquid refrigerant flows into the expansion valve through a filter dryer. The filter dryer filters the refrigerant and removes any traces of moisture and contaminants which may have been introduced during the charging of the condensing unit. the expansion valve lowers the pressure and consequently the saturation point of the liquid refrigerant. This liquid refrigerant absorbs heat from the air being dried and begins to change its phase back to vapor.
